Even though we had received messaging that the car would be at the airport for our pickup, it was not there. We had to drive to the renter’s RESIDENCE to pick up the car. I booked this trip as a single female with no indication I was traveling with others, it was completely unprofessional and unsafe; if I wasn’t with another person, I would have cancelled and then had to find another way around, defeating the purpose of the Turo. And then when we were driving home from an evening event, we almost wrecked several times because the headlights gave off ZERO light. We had to drive with brights on the winding, unfamiliar backroads, and use our not-even-dim lights on the HIGHWAY! I have no idea how we didn’t wreck or get pulled over. We had to scrap our plans for the second night because the car was utterly unsafe to drive.
The vehicle itself ran well but both of these situations were completely avoidable and unsafe. I will never book this again.
