this was the worst experiencewith a rental vehicle ive ever had to deal woth. not to mention this was my first tome ever using Turo. I booked a Tesla for a 5 day trip to LA. When i arrived to pick up the vehicle, the host told me that the Tesla battery had a problem with depleting quicker than usual. At the time I didnt think that mean i would spen the majorety of my rental trip either charging or waiting for a tow truck to go to a charger. the vehicle left me stranded waiting for a tow truck 3 times, starting on the very first day. We ended up canceling our trip to LA and had to make other arragememts for business. The fact that yhe battery drains more than twice the normal rate and also drains wile sitting over night while completly turned off shows i would have never maken it to LA in the first place. At the end of the trip, I expressed my frustration at which point the host offers to not charge me for the charging of the Tesla as long as I was to deliver the vehicle at a certain percentage and on time. I honored the hosts requests amd atvyhe end of the trip he did not keep his word and still sent me an invoice for charging the vehicle. I am completly unsatisfied. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOST!

Prior to the trip, I disclosed that this older Tesla’s displayed range can vary based on driving conditions and advised keeping the battery above 30 miles before charging. There was also a misunderstanding regarding charging fees: I waived the end-of-trip recharge fee, not charging expenses incurred during the trip. After the trip, the vehicle was tested and continued operating normally on subsequent rentals. I remain committed to transparency and guest satisfaction.

The charging situation is utmost the weirdest I’ve ever seen on a Tesla. Charges well sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t seem to charge no matter where you are trying to charge it. Home or Supercharger, it doesn’t matter.
