Turbold has a great pickup and delivery system right outside of LAX. The car was clean and he even provided us with some bottles of water !

The car ran great. The lower rating is because communication about the car’s condition and the pickup address changed late while I was already on my way.

I was informed less than an hour before pickup that the windshield was cracked and had not been repaired. The crack had happened the day before, and the host said there wasn’t time to fix it. The next day, the crack expanded toward the driver’s side, which caused significant anxiety. The crack also made it difficult to see when the sun hit it at certain angles due to glare and reflections.

I believe the host should have canceled the rental as soon as they discovered the windshield cracks to allow the renter to get another car, since it was not a minor issue—it was already cracked about halfway across at the time I picked up the car. In addition, the correct pickup address should be provided in advance. Many of us use rideshare (like Uber) to reach the pickup location, and changing the address while en route created an unnecessary problem.
