The car was smaller than I expected, and the cost was too high. After this trip, I’ll be canceling Turo and sticking with traditional rental companies. Limiting me to 1,050 miles for an entire week is just too restrictive. While rental companies may require a $300 deposit, it’s worth it when you compare the overall value and flexibility. In the end, I feel like I spend more money using Turo than I would with a regular rental company.

When requesting a last minute trip with delivery to home (something traditional rental companies don’t do) the cost is definitely higher. The size of a car is the same all across all companies, a hertz Sentra will be the same size as a turo Sentra. In other models we have more mileage allowances but not in brand new cars. Remember, turo is the rent-a-car (you book the car you see) not a rental car (you book something but they don’t even have cars to give you but you would’ve made a reservation)
