I booked this vehicle on 05/27 which was my daughter’s H.S. graduation day. I picked up the vehicle a bit after 1pm est everything was good until that day it rained. The vehicle started to make a noise when braking and turning the wheel to the right (I was planned on communicating to the host until) the next day I drove the vehicle to do some quick laundry (me and my kinds had plan to celebrate for the remainder of the trip) the vehicle would not start! I contacted the host twice with no response until approx 45 mins during that time I had already contacted Turo. I explained to Turo that the vehicle would not start and because the host was available Turo advised me to have the vehicle towed to the host location. In the interim of the tow request via Turo, the host reached out to me advising me to not have the vehicle towed and someone would show up at my location (the laundry facility). A unidentified individual related to the host showed up bought jumping cables to possibly jump start the vehicle. In closing, the jump start cranked the vehicle and the host showed up and advised me that the wiring on the battery was not tightened properly and as a result the vehicle would not start. I say all that to say this, the host had the nerve to charge me for re-fueling the vehicle in addition to a convenience change for a grand total of 38.95. I disputed the charge advising that host that I should not be liable for charges beyond my control. How could one refuel a vehicle if the vehicle would not initially start!? The vehicle would not start and/or crank. In the interim of my dispute, my debit card was still charged for 38.95. Today 06/06, I called and the rep understood my frustration, I was refund 🙏
