The car itself was excellent and drove very well. Unfortunately, the overall rental experience was disappointing.
When I picked up the vehicle, the fuel level was just over half full rather than being provided with a full tank. There was also an engine warning light illuminated for the entire duration of my trip, which was concerning.
Additionally, I received multiple messages from the host regarding “aggressive acceleration.” I understand the importance of driving safely and responsibly, but I felt the repeated messages were unnecessary and made the experience less enjoyable, particularly since hard acceleration itself is not prohibited by Turo’s policies.
Overall, the vehicle was great, but the issues with the fuel level, warning light, and repeated communication regarding acceleration took away from what otherwise could have been a very good rental experience.
