Really appreciated how easy the hosts made pickup and drop-off — friendly and communicative throughout!
A few honest notes for future renters: I had to pay $6 exiting the pickup garage and was only refunded $3, which was a small letdown. The car also came with just a single key (no fob), so locking meant walking around to each door — and the interior auto-lock would trigger a loud alarm when unlocking until the car was started. Lastly, the cloth seats already had some water-mark staining, and since we were up around Lake Tahoe, even slightly damp clothes left marks. Seat covers would be a great touch for a car in that area.
None of this soured the trip, and I’d happily rent again — just sharing so the next renter knows what to expect!

Diego and Ruth were incredible hosts. They were extremely responsive, and communicated details of pick up and drop off so thoroughly that we were able to show up and drive off minutes later.
As for the Subaru itself - a beautiful car in excellent condition. Clean inside and out, no odors, no issues. Add to that it was great on gas, and given recent prices, it was a real benefit.
Highly recommend renting from Diego - it’s hosts like him that make Turo the better alternative to traditional rental agencies. We will rent from him again when we return to Tahoe!
