This car was an absolute pleasure to drive. In fantastic condition; 20k miles at the time of writing, and I’m giving it a hearty 5 stars. This feels like one of those hidden gems that Turo is lucky to have. Manual, a rather rare sports car in a desirable trim, and well-maintained. Couldn’t ask for more.
Mechanically, the car had no problems. Everything from the powered seats to tire pressure to backup camera worked just as expected. Tires were Bridgestone RE050A—that’s a treadwear rating of roughly 140 TW (i.e. extremely sticky summer tires!). This made for a lot of fun, and great confidence in the twisties.
Visually, the car is in great condition, with one or two minor blemishes which aren’t very noticeable.
My review of the Z itself - surprisingly fun! The more serious exterior of this latest generation gave me a bit of a wrong expectation of the car’s personality.
- The shifting is very direct, great gearbox feel. I love that you can disable auto-rev match and be in full control.
- The car has power in abundance. First and second gear are a riot; stay alert. Great torque that comes in pretty low in the rev range.
- Clutch operation is smooth, maybe too smooth - but once you get the hang of the bite point it’s pretty lovely to drive.
- Visibility is somewhat limited, rear window is tiny and A-pillar blind spots are substantial. You feel like you’re sitting in a boat.
- Trunk space is pretty scarce. I’m not even sure you could get a bulky suitcase in there, and definitely not more than 1.
- Steering feel is great, precise, weighted without being unnecessarily heavy.
- Gorgeous car. Very handsome.
The host was great - we didn’t need to communicate much, but they were responsive and instructions were detailed. Thank you for having this car on the platform; would be eager to recommend this to my friends.

Car was good had a few dings and dents and tires where a bit worn but other than that drove great host was very nice and accommodating will definitely rent from them again

You drove nearly 2,000 miles in just 6 days, and throughout the trip my vehicle monitoring app repeatedly reported speeding, hard braking, and aggressive cornering. Based on the mileage and driving behavior during this rental, I’m not comfortable renting any of my vehicles to you again in the future.
Amazing, slight hiccup at pickup but only due to booking 6 months in advance. Aside from that, is was great and the car was spectacular.
