The host communicated with me before picking up the vehicle that the previous person that rented the vehicle had damaged the rear driver's side bumper. Wasn't a big deal until I realized the back up camera didn't work. (Unsure if it was related to the damage) Again, not a big deal but worth noting. The host also stated she wants documentation of the kind of gas put into the vehicle (not a big deal) except for the fact that she wanted 93 octane put into the car and the car only required 89 or above (4 cylinder turbo motor stats in the gas cap the type of required fuel - took a picture for her reference) so for the sake of her rather abrasive disclaimer around it. I put in 93 octane.
Now for the actual reason of my dissatisfaction: she stated she didn't have enough time to address the damage of the car (again not a big deal) but what became annoying was the fact that the rear tire had a nail in it and I ended up paying $2.50 x3 in stopping at gas stations to fill it with air over a 48 hour span.
Not world ending since the car fortunately has run flat tires but annoying enough for me to leave this feedback. All in all. A really nice car but as a host. The same expectations I have for a traditional rental company like enterprise/hertz is the same standard I have for turo the responsible thing for her to have done was cancel my reservation and I would've seeked other accomodations. Instead of being inconvenienced.
I gave you a heads-up because the damage happened less than 24 hrs before your trip. I could’ve canceled to repair it or let you decide. I had the tires checked at the dealership and was told they were fine. I didn’t realize the gas type message upset you this much. You never mentioned being this frustrated during the trip texts or when picking up your glasses from home yesterday , otherwise I would’ve offered reimbursement for the air expense or a discount had no idea & I gave you 5 stars. ✌🏽
