Host was very communicative and made the trip incredible! The car was in a very easy pic up/drop off spot and was clean and functioned great! Great trip and would definitely book again!

The car ran well, and the host was responsive. What was surprising and unpleasant were the maintenance problems we encountered and were asked by the host to remedy by taking the car to a bare-bones auto repair shop whose waiting room consisted of 4 chairs, and whose bathroom was a Honey Bucket in the parking lot. We rented the car for Nov and Dec 2025 and were allowed 3600 free miles, of which we used about half. We noticed the tires slipping as we went up and down the Seattle hills, particularly when the roads were wet, which they are frequently in the winter months. The low tire light came on and stayed on after we filled the tires with air. We suspected a slow leak and requested advice from the host, who recommended a particular tire shop. There was a nail in the tire, but the mechanic wasn't willing to repair the tire because it was almost bald. He eventually agreed to make the repair when he knew it was a rental. We told the host what the mechanic had said and told him that we were not willing to drive in an unsafe car. He was on vacation and initially wanted us to wait to see how the car rode with the patched tire, then wanted us to pay for 2 new tires and he would reimburse through Turo, and finally agreed to pay whatever Guru Auto Repair decided was needed, which turned out to be replacement of 2 tires. He was aware that these tires were nearing the end of their useful lifespan when he rented the car to us for 3600 free miles, according to what we were told by Guru Auto.

The next problem we encountered was a sudden loss of heat in the car toward the end of our trip. When we notified the host, he again wanted us to take the car to Guru Auto. We refused and told him that we would make do with the cold air in the car for our few remaining days, as our trips were short. He offered to come out to where we were staying and drive the car to a more convenient repair shop while we were entertaining guests. He even left us his personal vehicle to use if needed during his absence. He returned about an hour later with all the air control settings on high and the car interior toasty warm, saying we must have had the Auto setting on. (We hadn't ever touched that setting.) Using his settings, we were still in the cold for our 15 minute trips, but the temperature rose quickly to toasty after 15 to 20 mins. Also we frequently needed to use the defroster To clear the front window, and when we put on the front Defroster, the air temperature in the car went way down. We couldn't get heat and defrost at the same time.

I have a 2018 Toyota Prius of the same model as this one. Mine has 75k miles, has been lovingly maintained, and doesn't have these problems i rented this vehicle because I know and love the prius. I just wouldn't rent this vehicle again.

Car was very good, clean, and good on gas. Enjoyed this car and the host was very kind and fast at responding!

Got the job done and the car was what we expected.
