Overall, the vehicle served its purpose, but there were several aspects of the rental experience that were disappointing.
Upon pickup, we noticed preexisting exterior damage, including a rear bumper that was partially detached. While the damage did not impact the vehicle’s drivability, it was not disclosed in the listing. Greater transparency regarding the vehicle’s condition would have been appreciated.
Battery performance was also disappointing. Even when starting with a full charge, the vehicle’s battery depleted considerably faster than anticipated, requiring frequent charging stops. I understand that EV range varies depending on driving conditions, but the actual range fell short of expectations and made longer drives less convenient.
Lastly, communication with the host could have been more professional. During one interaction, I reached out because I initially couldn’t locate the key card, although I did not need it to operate the vehicle, I wanted to notify him in case he needed to locate it elsewhere. The response came across as unnecessarily rude and dismissive. I later realized I had simply overlooked its location, but a more courteous response would have been appreciated.
The vehicle was otherwise functional, and we were able to complete our trip without any major mechanical issues. However, between the undisclosed damage, limited battery range, and less-than-ideal communication, the overall experience could have been better.
