I hate leaving negative reviews, especially as a former Turo host. The car was very dirty, not messy… Dirty. The kind of yuck in the cracks that takes months to accumulate. It wasn’t just a quick vacuum and wipe down that was needed. If I didn’t pick it up in the middle of the night, I would not have taken the car. I would never drive a car in this condition, let alone rent it out like this. Broken windshield wiper, maintenance light on, fuel door wouldn’t open, speakers shot, windshield cracked. Further in the trip the check engine light came on, which I know can happen, but on top of everything else it seems indicative of very low level of maintenance. I immediately messaged host and got no reply, even now as I’ve returned the car - only received his automated check out messages. Next guest should have a slightly better experience since I spent about an hour and a half cleaning the interior.
