Fine car and was my first luxury and non-sports rental.
Definitely fun features like getting seat warmers and massage at the same time while driving in the winter and cold
I definitely wanted to try a jaguar at some time again

The host was quite responsive. The car was clean on pickup. We had a few issues early - but they were not a huge deal (car wouldn’t recognize the key fob, took a few times to turn on the car) but then, on the second day, we lost the full right front light mechanism. It wasn’t just the headlight - the whole area, including the amber light was off. We made it home the first night and I messaged the owner expressing my concern. After being told that “it is what it is” we continued. I specifically indicated my concern that we would be pulled over the next day. We were pulled over the next evening. The police officer was nice and let us go with a warning. He expressed that we were lucky it was him and that his partner likely would have ticketed us or towed the vehicle. I messaged the owner again but -short of offering a discount on the trip rental - no fixes were offered. (I would have been thrilled to have any fully operational car at that point). The next evening, a police officer followed us to our hotel after dinner but we didn’t get pulled over. I think that the car is ok - it just should have been serviced. I imagine that it sat for some time and it wasn’t gone over before the rental. I have been assured that the car is going in for service - so that’s good for the next person, I suppose, but was no help for us. Honestly, we were a touch nervous that it wouldn’t start again once we started our way to the airport (the car kept on noting that we had the wrong key fob, that the key fob was not in the car or that the key fob wasn’t close enough to the ignition) I would not rent this car again.
Hello Donovan, thank you for your review. As we mentioned during your trip we did fully inspect the vehicle beforehand and found no issues with the lights. Sometimes they do stop working without any warning, and we would have happily accommodated if you wanted to swap vehicles but you did not accept that offer. We have 100% taken care of the lights and key fob since your trip.
