The car gave me no problems, and Tommy responded quickly to me when I messaged him. However, several issues were difficult: 1) The engine light kept going on and off during the week I had the car. He told me it wasn't an issue, but I know enough about cars to know that engine lights can be serious, and it put me on edge about whether the car was going to die on me during my trip. That's something that should be taken care of before renting it out to people. 2) The civic center garage is very dark and so is both the car exterior and interior. So it's very difficult to both get good photos of the car and see what's in the photos he sends you. 3) The garage also has no cell or wifi signal access, so you have to come up to street level to upload your photos or text with the host. He should mention that before you get there so you you know going in. 4) Some of his written communication was not clear about the pick-up of the car. He said there was a lock box on "the front window" and sent a dark photo of the car from a distance. I've never had to get a key in such a way, and I needed to get going on my trip in a hurry. Plus "front window" to me is vague. Does that mean windshield or driver's window? I figured it meant windshield, but I saw no lockbox on the windshield. So I wrote back saying I saw no lockbox in the photo. He replied that is was clearly there. OK. Turns out the lockbox was on the driver's window, and you can't see it in the dark photo unless you really look in that spot. Not major stuff, but enough to make the pick up a real hassle and time waster dealing with the lack of cell/wifi signal and poor light in the garage.
