Car and owner are both great, but we had a mixed experience.
The owner was polite and communicative, and was flexible with pick up and drop off times upon communication. The car was clean and looked well maintained. Everything went smoothly until car pick up and we drove off to enjoy our day.
Upon parking the car and returning to the car at our first stop, the car did not start. We called the owner immediately and after a while of trying to turn the car on with no success, I suspect that the issue could be a dead key fob. The owner called for assistance. Our guy tried jump starting the car and it turned out to be a dead key fob battery. The owner found an alternative way to turn the car on. I ended up making a round trip of 40 minutes to get the fob battery changed.
The owner was apologetic and paid us back for the battery and a small extra amount which covered gas to get to the auto parts shop.
The same issue would probabbly not happen again. The car was great and the owner handled the situation well. However, we didn’t enjoy spending 2 hours of our vacation and mental energy on car issues.
Our most sincere apologies for your experience. We could not be more apologetic for your experience. There was no indication the key fob battery was low. We had just driven it to get washed and had put gas in it right before your arrival. Thank you so much for being so amazing, truly.
