Car was great to drive, great car to drive in California if you’re visiting. Quality service, good pickup location distance from the airport. Very walkable.

The car itself was nice-some scratches on the exterior but in general was clean and functioned properly. Pickup was a nightmare. I was told by the host prior to pickup that they only drop off at the lot across from Sheridan by the airport (even though I had chosen the courtyard Marriott at booking). We were also told that we could use the free Sheridan airport shuttle however after waiting 20 minutes for the shuttle, the shuttle driver told us they don’t transport turo customers and only agreed to take us after much bartering and a large tip. Right as we pulled into the Sheridan, I received a message from the host saying that the car was ready for pickup with photos of the car in the courtyard parking lot. When we messaged the host to confirm the car location, no reply. We spent $20 for a lyft to get back to the courtyard to pickup the car. In total we spent over $40 just to pickup the car. Don’t waste your time with this host.
We advised upfront we are not related to any hotels. We advised upfront not to use shuttles saying you are TURO client. All SD hosts are BANNED at SAN airp by city of SD with mayor and police. We pay a fortune expensive parking lot only 1 block away from SAN airport and we doNT charge clients the parking lot is FREE for u ! All you have to do is get a uber to the car as per detailed instructions . You wanted to use another hotel where you also didNT have room could get towed there
