Pretty bad trip overall. Don’t rent this car unless you are desperate.
Car:
Safety: the rear window has some plastic film that heavily obstructs viewing and is unsafe.
Navigation: I knew this from before, but it was inconvenient to have no navigation. I just had to use my phone.
Brake: The parking brake was very inconvenient to use as well.
Smell: there’s threatening language all over the listing about smoking having a lot of consequences and the car reeked of cigarettes as soon as I entered it anyway.
Host: this is the more problematic part. The host is very curt and didn’t know how Turo worked himself. He made me wait a lot to approve my very legal interim license (didn’t face this issue with other Turo hosts).
When I dropped off the car, he charged me $20 for having a tiny bit less fuel than full (maybe they should have the car dropoff in a gas station).
