HOST:
Communication with the host was quick and easy, which I appreciated. Unfortunately I can't recommend the cars. Three vehicles I received from this host had a smoke and marijuana smell in the interior — the first one prompted me to ask for a swap, and the replacement was no better. With a child in the car it made both of them unusable for me.

If the interiors were properly cleaned and deodorized between trips this would be a solid rental. As it stands, check the car before you drive away.

TURO:
I booked a car through Turo for a trip running through August 1, paid in full on a non-refundable rate. At pickup, the vehicle had a strong smoke and marijuana odor and was unusable for me — I was transporting my son — so I reported it and requested a swap, exactly as Turo instructs.

What followed was the problem. A Turo agent shortened my original reservation without my request. I was then told in writing that I'd be given a replacement vehicle for the same remaining duration and price, with any leftover balance applied as travel credits and no additional cost to me. That replacement never materialized. Instead I began receiving overdue-vehicle notices from Trust & Safety, including a warning about involving local authorities, over a car I'd been told to keep driving.

I returned the vehicle and have repeatedly asked, in writing, for confirmation of how the replacement or refund would be handled. My emails went unanswered while I continued to receive calls and texts. I have no signal where I've been and asked repeatedly for written communication, which was ignored.

The frustration isn't the bad car — that happens. It's that Turo's support gave me a written commitment it didn't honor, shortened a trip I'd paid for, and then treated me as the problem. If you rent here, document every interaction in writing.

Quick & Easy's response

Thank you for the feedback. We take cleanliness and smoking concerns seriously and inspect our vehicles between trips. Once the issue was reported, we worked with Turo regarding the swap. The reservation changes, credits, replacement vehicle, and Trust & Safety communication were handled directly by Turo and were outside of our control. We always do our best to communicate quickly and assist our guests.

Very Friendly and would Rent again in Future good guy good Customer Service thanks Edward P Strong rented for Family Gathering and My Birthday
