1. Program overview
The US "Pitch a Trip" program ("Program") is an initiative by Turo Inc. ("Turo") designed to support content creators and travel enthusiasts in realizing and sharing their road trip experiences across the United States. Participants will have the opportunity to receive sponsorship for vehicle expenses via Turo, including Standard protection, trip fees, and selected Extras ("Sponsorship"). The Program is scheduled to run throughout the year 2025. However, Turo reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or extend the Program at any time based on operational needs or extenuating circumstances.
2. Eligibility and participation
Participants must have a valid driver's license that allows them to drive in the US, and a valid Turo account. Submissions must be original work and adhere to the Turo community guidelines and policies.
3. Sponsorship inclusions and exclusions
Inclusions:
The Sponsorship covers only the cost of booking a vehicle on Turo with Standard protection and all trip fees (including Delivery, if available).
Exclusions:
The Sponsorship does not include or provide payment for accommodation, insurance deductibles in the event of a claim, excess mileage costs, fees related to policy violations, parking fees or tolls, refundable deposits, or any regular vehicle expenses such as fuel.
No additional compensation, payments, or reimbursements will be made for any other travel-related or personal expenses. Participants are solely responsible for covering any and all costs not explicitly listed as part of the Sponsorship.
4. Content ownership and usage rights
Participants retain ownership of their submitted content. However, by participating in the Program, Participants agree to grant Turo a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to re-post on social channels any social media posts made and published by Participants as part of the Program. Turo may offer to purchase submitted content from Participants. In such case, the agreement to purchase between the Participant and Turo will apply. Content created through the Program is not permitted to be sold outside of the Program.
5. Compliance with policies and confidentiality
Participants must comply with all Turo policies and community guidelines during their participation in the Program. Turo commits to protecting participants' personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and will not disclose confidential information without consent unless required by law. Turo collects and processes personal data in accordance with its privacy policy.
6. Protection plan responsibility and liabilities
Participants with a Standard Protection plan are responsible for a $500 out-of-pocket maximum in the event of physical damage to the vehicle during the road trip. Turo is not liable for incidents that occur during the road trip that are not covered under the standard protection plan. 7. Submission and selection process
Submissions will be evaluated at the end of the submission period based on creativity, feasibility, and storytelling potential. Selection will be merit-based, ensuring that the process is fair and inclusive of all participants.
8. General conditions
Turo reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Program or any part of it, in the event of any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Turo’s control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Program. By participating in the Program, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and by the decisions of Turo, which are final and binding in all respects.
9. Dispute resolution
All disputes related to or arising from the Program shall be subject to the laws of the state in which the participant resides and the federal laws of the United States applicable therein.
10. Social post, content dissemination and usage rights
Participants agree to publish at least one post to their social account, tag @Turo, and include the hashtag #turopartner in any social media posts related to their sponsored road trip.
