10 days of slay contest rules

Turo Inc. (“Turo”) is sponsoring the “10 days of slay” contest (the “Contest”). The Contest is subject to these official rules (the “Official Rules”), and by participating, you (“Entrant”) agree to be bound by them and the decisions of Turo, which are final and binding in all respects.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR LIKELIHOOD OF WINNING. LUCK AND CHANCE PLAY NO PART IN THIS CONTEST.

1. How to enter

During the Contest Period (defined below), in order to enter you will need to:

a. Sign up for an account with Turo (if not you do not already have an account) and agree to Turo’s terms of service. Any personal data you provide will be collected and processed in accordance with Turo’s privacy policy.

b. Follow Turo on Instagram @turo;

c. Follow Sarah Michelle Gellar on Instagram @sarahmgellar;

d. Like the October 21st 10 days of slay contest post on Turo’s Instagram page, and tag someone you know is looking for a car in the comments; and

e. Submit a short video (1 minute or less) through the submission portal telling a car shopping horror story or why car ownership gives you nightmares.

You must complete all steps above in order to be entered into the Contest. Any entries that violate any applicable law or Turo’s terms of service will not be eligible and will be disqualified from the Contest.

Limit one entry per Entrant. Multiple entries by the same Entrant will not be considered. By entering the Contest, you acknowledge and agree to the Official Rules.

2. Eligibility and participation

Entrants must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States. Void where prohibited by law. Entrants must have a valid Turo account in good standing or create one prior to submitting their video submission. Turo employees as well as their immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and household members of each employee are not eligible.

3. Contest period

This Contest begins at 9:00am Pacific Time (“PT”) on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, and ends at 5:00pm PT on Friday, October 31, 2025 (the “Contest Period”). Turo’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Contest. All entries must be received during the dates and times specified in the Contest Period. Odds of winning the Contest depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

4. Prize winner selection process and notification

This Contest is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in the winner selection process. All valid entries received during the Contest Period will be reviewed. One winner will be selected for each day of the Contest Period, for a total of 10 winners. All winners will be notified via email by November 4, 2025.

Entrants’ submission videos will be judged by a panel of impartial judges based on the following criteria:

i. Creativity (40%);

ii. Compelling storytelling (30%); and

iii. Passion (30%).

Selection will be skills-based based on the weighted criteria above, ensuring that the process is fair and inclusive of all participants.

If your submission is selected and you are notified by Turo that you have won, you must respond to Turo within the next 48 hours in order to claim the Prize. Winners will be required to submit an email address registered with their Turo account in order to redeem the Prize. Should a winner fail to respond to Turo, or in the event that a winner’s entry is invalid, Turo reserves the right to disqualify that winner and select the next best entry that was originally judged. By entering or accepting any Prize, the Entrant allows Turo to use the winner’s entry, name, photograph, likeness, voice, opinions, Prize information, and any other information submitted as part of the Contest, for publicity and promotional purposes without further compensation where permitted by law.

5. Prizes

Ten winners will receive the following: a three-month car rental in the United States on the Turo platform with a car of their choice, not to exceed a value of $4,999 (“Prize”). The Prize includes only the cost of booking the selected vehicle on Turo for the three-month period with a Standard Protection plan and all trip fees (including Delivery, if available).

The Prize does not include any payment for accommodation, insurance deductible in the event of a claim, excess mileage costs, fees related to policy violations, parking fees or tolls, refundable deposits, or any regular vehicle expenses such as fuel.

No additional payments or reimbursements will be made for any other travel-related or personal expenses. Winners are solely responsible for covering any and all costs not explicitly listed as covered as part of the Prize.

The value of the Prize may be taxable to the winner(s) as income. All U.S. federal, state and local tax liability, and any other costs and expenses associated with the acceptance or use of the Prize not specifically provided for in these Official Rules are solely the responsibility of each winner. Winners may be required to submit their Taxpayer ID, Social Security Number and/or any other information or documentation Turo may require for tax reporting purposes, including but not limited to a W9.

IN ORDER TO REDEEM THE PRIZE, WINNERS MUST HAVE AN EXISTING VALID TURO ACCOUNT IN GOOD STANDING.

Turo will coordinate the booking of the three-month car rental Prize via email with the winners. All three-month car rental Prizes must begin on or before December 31, 2025. If you shorten your three-month car rental during the reservation, you will forfeit any remaining days on your reservation.

6. Content ownership and usage rights

Entrants retain ownership of their submitted content. However, by participating in the Contest, Entrants agree to grant Turo a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable license to post, use, reproduce, edit, compile, create derivative works from, display, and/or exhibit submitted content including on social media channels or otherwise use the submitted content for marketing, promotion and publicity purposes. Each participating Entrant hereby warrants that any entry and other materials and information submitted or provided by Entrant are original to Entrant and do not violate or infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity, moral rights or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity, and do not violate any rules or regulations. 

7. Protection plan responsibility and liabilities

Entrants with a Standard Protection plan are responsible for a $500 out-of-pocket maximum in the event of physical damage to the vehicle during the three-month car rental. Turo is not liable for incidents that occur during the three-month car rental that are not covered under the Standard Protection plan. 8. Cancellation, suspension, or modification

Turo reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest or any part of it, in the event of any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Turo’s control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest.

9. Dispute resolution

All disputes related to or arising from the Program shall be subject to the laws of the state in which the Entrant resides and the federal laws of the United States applicable therein.

10. Disclaimer, release, and limit of liability

TURO MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING ANY PRIZE OR YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST. BY ENTERING THE CONTEST OR RECEIPT OF ANY PRIZE, EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS TURO, ANY SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES, AND EACH SUCH COMPANY’S OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS (COLLECTIVELY, THE “RELEASED PARTIES”) FROM AND AGAINST ANY CLAIM OR CAUSE OF ACTION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PERSONAL INJURY, NEGLIGENCE, GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR OTHER TORTIOUS CONDUCT, DEATH, OR DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF PROPERTY, ARISING OUT OF PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST OR RECEIPT OR USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE. THE RELEASED PARTIES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR: 1) ANY INCORRECT OR INACCURATE INFORMATION, WHETHER CAUSED BY ENTRANTS, PRINTING ERRORS OR BY ANY OF THE EQUIPMENT OR PROGRAMING ASSOCIATED WITH OR UTILIZED IN THE CONTEST; 2) TECHNICAL FAILURES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MALFUNCTIONS, INTERRUPTIONS, OR DISCONNECTIONS IN PHONE LINES OR VIDEO CONNECTION OR NETWORK HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE; 3) UNAUTHORIZED HUMAN INTERVENTION IN ANY PART OF THE ENTRY PROCESS OR THE CONTEST; (4) TECHNICAL OR HUMAN ERROR WHICH MAY OCCUR IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE CONTEST OR THE PROCESSING OF ENTRIES; OR (5) ANY INJURY OR DAMAGE TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY WHICH MAY BE CAUSED, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, FROM ENTRANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST OR RECEIPT OR USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE. If for any reason an Entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, Entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Contest, provided that if it is not possible to award another entry due to discontinuance or completion of the Contest, or any part of it, for any reason, Turo, at its discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of discontinuance or completion for any or all of the Prizes offered herein. No more than the stated number of Prizes will be awarded. In the event that production, technical, programming or any other reasons cause more than the stated number of Prizes as set forth in these Official Rules to be available and/or claimed Turo reserves the right to award only the stated number of Prizes by a random drawing among all legitimate, unawarded, eligible Prize claims.
