The whole reason I use Turo is to drive the specific, unique car I choose, rather than a generic rental. I arrived at midnight after a long flight, only to find that the car I had booked was unavailable. While the host apologized and did a very good job of quickly sorting out a replacement so I wasn't stranded, it wasn't the experience I signed up for. Because it was late, I had no choice but to accept the swap. I appreciate the host’s effort and communication, but receiving a substitute with no incentive felt unfair and defeated the purpose of using Turo
