This was an atrocious experience. The same types of problems you’d expect from a commercial rental agency- the ones we try to avoid by using Turo- and more! I reserved a very specific vehicle, as we all do using Turo. It’s the whole point of their business model. I paid in advance. Everything was all set. My flight landed at 9 AM. My reservation was meant to begin at 9:30. My plane landed early and according to their check-in instructions, I’d have access to the vehicle and the code to access it one *hour* before my reservation began, at 8:30 AM. At 8:29 AM, I get a message from Turo indicating that the vehicle I reserved was unavailable and offered a totally different car. to be clear, I reserved a 2026 Nissan rogue—an SUV. Instead, they put me in a 2024 Chevy Malibu. Not even close to what I reserved, not comparable. They said it was the only thing available, and indicated it was indeed available. Meanwhile, I’m already off the plane. I had already taken the train all the way to the pick up point. I had nowhere to go. I then had to wait for another hour for them to even tell me where to go to pick this thing up. So after standing around waiting having no idea what was going on for an hour they finally told me where to go get the car, which was some seedy parking lot that I had to walk to with all my luggage- off premises from the airport. Did I mention I selected a vehicle that I could pick up AT the airport? So we walk to the seedy parking lot lugging all of our stuff. NO CAR. Messaging on the app, they kept telling me it would be there any minute. Finally, Some guy drives up in a Malibu, gets out of the car, says nothing, hands me a key, and walks off. Hope this is My Car, right? Anyway, it is… And it was terrible. It was filthy on the outside. It was filthy on the inside. There was an empty canned cocktail in the center console. Gross. I don’t know what this 2024 Malibu, a 2 year old vehicle, was out through to look this bad inside and out. The gas tank wasn’t full. One of the tires said low air within minutes of departure from the seedy parking lot and I had to stop and fill it… and I had to do that three more times during the trip. The return process was just as stupid, having to park in that same seedy lot and walk to a train to get to the airport. My departure flight was early morning, so I opted to drop the crappy car off in the crappy parking lot the night before so I didn’t have to do that. …. Questionable walk from the parking lot to the train in early morning dark darkness. Do not rent from this company. They respond quickly enough but it’s always a different person. Turo’s biz model and how this company operates are not in alignment. Be careful who you rent from and avoid these people.

A vehicle change was offered and accepted through the platform prior to pickup, with instructions provided accordingly.

Any concerns about condition are best resolved when the vehicle is first received so they can be addressed immediately. That opportunity wasn’t utilized. Next time, just stay home,it’s safer and you won’t have to deal with

Slow leak in both rear tires. Car not very clean on pickup.

Car was there when we arrived. Alot of dents n scratches. Smelt horrible . Quarter tank of gas to start with. Key fab wouldnt snap together. There needs to be bigger signs for the lot your picking it up at. Delay in GPS.

Waited an hour and 20 minutes in a parking lot in the middle of nowhere for the vehicle that I reserved. Only to be told they can’t find the car. After several calls with Turo and talking to a guy in the lot they Gave me another car that smelled like marijuana for the entire time we had it.
We just had to suck up the time wasted and the fact that we didn’t get the car we received I guess. We asked about some compensation but never heard anything. Maybe that was a Turo issue. Not sure.
The car did the job, we had no mechanical issues or anything like that.
Communication was not good pick up or drop off information.
