And his Prius was solid. I was able to get 50 to 60 miles per gallon on the regular (with gentle driving)

Overall, this experience was disappointing and far below what I’ve come to expect from Turo.
To start with the positives, Justin was polite, respectful, and responsive when communicating. The vehicle was mostly clean upon pickup, which I appreciated, although the windows were noticeably smudgy and could have used a better cleaning.
That said, the pickup process was confusing and not clearly explained. As someone visiting from out of town and unfamiliar with the area, the instructions on where to go and how the pickup process worked were unclear, which created unnecessary stress at the start of the trip.
Upon pickup, we also noticed existing damage to the front bumper and documented it with photos. As the trip progressed, the bumper gradually became loose and began making a rattling noise while driving. I informed Justin, and while he reassured me that it would not fall off, it still made us uncomfortable driving a vehicle with an issue that seemed to worsen during the trip.
Another concerning issue occurred while the vehicle was parked overnight. Personal belongings and cash were taken from inside the vehicle despite no visible signs of forced entry. I reported the incident to hotel management, who advised they were not liable, and I also informed Justin and provided supporting screenshots/information. While I cannot say definitively what happened, the situation raised concerns about whether the vehicle’s locking mechanism was functioning properly and may be worth looking into.
Lastly, the drop-off process was again unclear. We were under the impression it would be a handoff, but instead left the vehicle in domestic parking and followed remote instructions, which added to the overall confusion.
Justin himself was courteous and respectful, but the unclear logistics, vehicle concerns, and overall experience made this a stressful trip. There were some positives, but enough issues that I would hesitate to book this vehicle again.
I’m glad communication was positive. Pickup/drop-off instructions were provided in advance (Garage A at SFO). SFO is a large airport and can be confusing, I was available to assist if needed. The vehicle was delivered in good condition with no bumper issues. It was reported during the trip, I responded promptly, and the car remained fully drivable. The bumper was repaired after return. Regarding the reported loss, I responded immediately, there is no evidence of a locking or security malfunction

Justin was accommodating, easy to communicate with, professional and friendly! He organized pick up and drop off so it was the most convenient for my travel plans. I felt safe in the vehicle as well. Good gas mileage was a bonus too. Thank you!
