The car has a mismatched front right tire, which is incredibly unsafe and no reputable tire shop would allow you to do. When you look at the front right wheel, you can tell it was crashed into a curb or something else pretty bad, which is probably why the tire was replaced in the first place. The car also kept throwing low tire pressure lights because some VW’s measure low tire pressure by comparing rotational speeds of the four wheels, and it seems the car did not like the mismatched tire that had a different rotational speed.
I also left the car with more gas than when I picked it up (the car had 405 miles of stated range when I picked it up, I left it with 450 miles). I returned the car after 4 hours of use during a 24 hour rental, providing the car owner with additional opportunity to rent the car during the window I already paid for. I let the owner know I was 30 miles over the allotted range (100 miles is extremely low compared to every other car on Turo; you cannot go to Joshua Tree national park and back from Palm Springs in less than 100 miles). I asked him not to charge for the overage considering (I) I left the car with more gas than before and (II) I returned the car after four hours, but he decided to charge me anyway. To be clear, per the terms he was within in his rights charge me for the overage, but it was still a jerk move and I don’t see a reason to do business with people like that.
Previous guest hit a curb replaced with a new tire and this was “Americas Tire” approved car is like new at 5k miles
You can view photos full gas tank the gas mile numbers take awhile to adjust for many other brands and models this is why Turo goes based off the bars more accurate
I have lots of other car options with the 200 mile daily range guest chose this one because it’s more then just any car as well as mile sensitive why it’s at 100 daily
