Arrived to collect the rental and the pickup couldn’t have been easier. The self-service collection was a real bonus as there was no need to meet the host, which gave me a bit of flexibility with the pickup time.
The car itself was excellent. It’s a well-used, higher-mileage example, but I really couldn’t fault it. Everything worked as it should, it was clean, well presented, and it drove exactly as I’d expected a 911 Carrera S to.
I thoroughly enjoyed the day. My only slight disappointment wasn’t with the car, but with the roads around Orlando and the east coast. They simply don’t let a car like this shine. The routes are mostly long, straight roads with lots of traffic, frequent traffic lights and very few corners, so it’s difficult to experience what the car offers.
That said, I still had a great time behind the wheel, and my son absolutely loved the novelty of spending the day in a Porsche 911 while we were on holiday. I’d happily rent from this host again.
