Overall, I had no major trouble with the rental process or with the host. The host was responsive and answered quickly whenever necessary, which I appreciated.
However, the car itself seems to have been through quite a lot of use and may need some maintenance. Both doors would make noticeable noises when opening and closing, and both rear windows had problems closing properly. I often had to use my hands to force the windows shut completely.
The host did respond and explained what I needed to do, but this is still an issue that should definitely be fixed before renting the vehicle to other people. If someone forgets to manually force the windows closed, it could create a security risk, since the car could be left partially open and vulnerable to theft or other problems.
