The 2017 Toyota Camry was built with an emphasis on comfort and ease of use, combined with a solid reputation for durability and reliability. Some rival sedans might be a little flashier or sportier, but the Camry remains an honest and worthy pick. Pick up and drop off will be at SLC airport economy parking lot. One of the lesser experiences I’ve had with Turo. I’ve booked a lot of personal trips but this was the first one I booked for business travel. The car itself was all right, the brakes felt a little bit weird and grindy but overall it was fine.
The biggest issue was that this host did not message me with check in details until two minutes after the trip technically had started. I had to sit and wait in the airport for half an hour until he finally messaged me. I had asked him hours earlier to send me the instructions to which he responded “I will send them in a couple hours not to worry”, it wasn’t until three hours later that I finally got any information. If I had been in a hurry I would have been very upset. After another half hour of waiting for the shuttle to get to the economy lot and finding the car I had to pay $20 to get out.
This really confused me because mathematically that meant that the car had been sitting in there for hours yet the host had not sent me the instructions until so late. Usually other hosts message me the day before or at LEAST an hour before. He did offer to reimburse me for the $20 but I figured he has to pay when he takes the car out anyways so I didn’t ask for reimbursement.
He also requested that I take the car through a car wash that the car has a subscription to. I still had to pay $10 for the vacuum which he requested that was not included in the subscription. Again, this was so different than any other car I’ve ever rented. Usually they just ask to clear any trash out and there’s a fee included for cleaning. Maybe this has changed with Turo, but I’m glad I gave myself more time because I was there for about 20 minutes.
Again, the car was fine for what I paid for, but I would suggest to Dallin to send check-in instructions more promptly next time and advise on the rental details that he wants you to have the car washed at a special place at the end so people can plan ahead.
This is in line with other reviews I read about him so I guess that’s on me to not have had as high of expectations as I did. I enjoyed Utah and the car had great gas mileage.

This was my first trip with Turo so I had no expectations. I did read everyone else's reviews and my experience turned out to be very similar.
Car was right where it was supposed to be but I did have something unexpected happen checking out of the parking lot. When I reached out to get my question answered about the issue, I did not receive a response back for two days. Overall, I would definitely rent again from Turo as it day save me a lot of $$$ and the car was in good shape and was easy to rent.
Daniel
Dallin and the vehicle were better than expected. So much better than national rental car companies.
Brian
Dallin made the rental process smooth and seamless. The Camry was reliable and zippy. I would recommend.
John
Dallin was a great host and the car was perfect for my trip to SLC and Logan.
