Host was very patient, communicative, even though there was a language barrier. I highly recommend using them, very lovely people. The vehicle was also very clean!

The communication from the host was not great. Upon the day of pickup, I asked for details on how to pick it up, keys, etc. and I hadn’t heard anything, finally at exactly the pickup time I got a one emoji response. I then got the car from his wife, drove to where I needed to and noticed the light for an oil change turned on and the brakes were pulsating which indicated it needed a brake job. The oil thing wasn’t a big deal as it’s regular maintenance but the brakes left me feeling leery to drive it on the highway which is not how I should feel in a rental car, especially one that is costing me over $400. I then received a message later that night that he had an oil change done (even though the sticker says it doesn’t need one for another 900 miles) but they must have forgot to reset the light and that he’ll have the car checked for brake work. It just seemed to me that he was making excuses when he could have just said “no problem I’ll take care of it for you, do you want to keep the car or return it early?”

Upon drop off, again no communication as to where to leave the keys and park the car. I just decided to put the keys in the center console and leave it unlocked.

On the plus side the car does get good gas mileage and is very clean. There was even a canister of pepper spray in the center console if I needed it.

Great, responsive and kind. The car was great too.
