This rating is a reflection of the host, not of Turo. Esa, and Abdul were very adamant about my experience with their business. I was on my way to the rental location, and Esa texted me to make sure I knew the location and when I arrived, checked me in and was very helpful and courteous. We completed the check in, and I left. During my drive, I began to notice problems with the car. Pulling to the left excessively, touch screen controls did not work properly, and charge port was not working. I texted the host I texted Esa in the app to let him know of the problems. He immediately offered to swap the vehicle for another vehicle at the same rate. He met me after they had closed to process in the broken vehicle, and found me a comparable vehicle to rent instead. We both drove it a couple of blocks to verify the 2nd vehicle worked properly, and it did. So after much discussion with Turo customer support, we explained the situation and we checked out the old vehicle and checked in the new one. Later that night, I discovered Turo support had charged me $164 for the old vehicle and a higher rate for the new vehicle. I called Turo support to explain the charges were not correct, and they explained it could only be resolved through the host. I texted Esa through the app to let him know, and he was already in touch with Turo support trying to get the charges reversed. Between me and Esa calling Turo support several times, we got the charges reversed and I have a pending refund. As of this review, I have not gotten my refund but they said it could take up to 10 days to receive it. Again, the 5 stars in this review reflect the customer service I received from the host, NOT Turo support. TURO support excessively overcharged me without warning, and was difficult to work with to get the charges reversed. I highly recommend Abdul to rent from, because he and Esa went above and beyond to ensure I had a good rental experience, and were very helpful in working with Turo support to make sure I was refunded for the mistake.
