Unfortunately, our experience with the host was disappointing. We understand that the tire issue happened while the car was in our possession and that we were responsible for handling it. However, the vehicle did not have a spare tire, and the host provided very little support when we needed assistance.
We were two women traveling in an unfamiliar state, stranded with a flat tire, only about 50 minutes away from him. Because there was no spare tire, I ended up having to purchase a brand-new tire. If the vehicle had been equipped with a spare, we could have simply changed the tire, safely driven to a tire shop, and had the original tire repaired instead of being forced to buy a replacement.
We had to handle the entire situation on our own, including finding assistance and paying for the new tire. My negative rating is not because we had to take responsibility for the flat tire, but because of the lack of a spare tire and the lack of basic support from the host during an unexpected roadside situation.

You damaged two tires during your trip and now expect me to pay for damage caused by your own negligence. The car is not made for off-road use, and most modern cars don’t have spare tires. You returned the vehicle in poor condition, and that responsibility is yours.
