I originally was going to try to be nice considering the host was nice but after reading other reviews I felt it needed to be put out the experience I had. Before even driving off with the car I messaged as soon as I started it up about a squeaking sound from under the hood. Shortly after I messaged again about a constant squealing. The third time was about a knocking coming from under the hood. Each time I was told “I have checked the codes and nothing is wrong” within 12 hours of having the car (part being over night parked at my house) we returned the car bc I did not feel safe in a car nor did I need the vehicle breaking down while I was driving the vehicle. The sonic had several mechanical issues and after reading the other reviews about having issues with this car on others experiences I wouldn’t recommend this car to continue being part of a fleet of rentals.

Hey there Amanda, I do apologize for your experience. It was the cooling fan assembly, apparently those do not cause a code to appear. Since your trip, I've had that replaced and had the vehicle inspected by a ASE certified mechanic. In hindsight, I wish I came to you and looked at the car. I'm all about personal growth, and I'll do better next time. I hope your refund found you well, and your having a better day today.
