The car itself was clean - doesn’t run as well as I would expect for 2024 but got the job done. Unfortunately we had issues with pickup. We messaged with the hosts multiple times that we would be picking up at 8PM rather than the original 5PM to which they agreed. Then when we got to pickup, the ride was cancelled and we were charged a hefty no show fee even though we were adamantly clear. We rebooked the car not realizing we wouldn’t be getting this fee back. Turo couldn’t provide a refund unless the host agreed and, although they admitted fault on the phone, the hosts wouldn’t agree with Turo to provide a refund. It seems the host company lacks a bit of morality. I’m sure they’ll respond to this with a corporate explanation, but renter to renter, I wouldn’t count on them to be helpful if anything unexpected comes up.

The car worked for our needs but there were a couple issues. When we picked up the car the check engine light and low tire pressure light was on, and the car had a faint smell of smoke. The car ran great and suitable for our trip. The shuttle took awhile picking us up from the airport (about 30 mins) but was very quick on the way back.
