I picked up the car with a bit more than half tank, the owner had pictures uploaded proving that. But when I returned the car with the same fuel level, owner charged me almost $60 and Turo approved the charge despite me messaging both the owner and customer support. I wish Turo had a competitor. Their policies are all against renters. This is not the first time they don’t properly process the evidence and facts supporting a dispute.
We understand the guest was unhappy with the fuel reimbursement charge. However, the fuel claim was supported by pre-trip and post-trip photos showing the fuel level difference. The documentation was shared with the guest and submitted to Turo, which reviewed the evidence and approved the reimbursement according to its policies.
We are committed to being fair and transparent with all guests and rely on documented trip photos to resolve any disputes.

Avoid This Rental – Unsafe Vehicle & Unprofessional Host
This was by far the worst experience I’ve had on Turo. We rented Daniel’s car on August 28th, expecting a vehicle with features like a blind spot indicator, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a sunroof — all of which were listed. However, none of these features were actually present in the car.
After just a few days of local driving, the vehicle suddenly displayed multiple dashboard warning lights. The steering wheel froze completely, and we were left in a very unsafe and stressful situation. When we contacted Daniel to report the issue and shared photos of the warning indicators, he was dismissive and rude instead of offering help. Another person named Sam, who seemed to be associated with the rental, was even more unprofessional — bordering on abusive — and insisted we tow the car ourselves back to their location.
The entire experience left us feeling stranded and unsupported. Thankfully, Turo customer service stepped in and helped us through the situation.
I strongly advise against renting this vehicle. It's poorly maintained, misrepresented in the listing, and the hosts are extremely uncooperative in a crisis.
We sent vehicle to local certified mechanic shop and we paid $185 for full inspection and there are nothing wrong with this Mercedes , and towing company also questioned why the car needs to be towed ? Because the tow driver says it runs great ! You don’t know how to drive Mercedes ! Your put me as a scapegoat because of your ignorance! why you don’t respond after I sent you the invoice from the mechanic shop to show the vehicle has no any mechanical issues ? Because you know you are wrong !
