The host was thoughtful, she left a handwritten note and snacks, which was a sweet touch. Unfortunately the car itself had several issues worth knowing about.

On pickup, I noticed ripped upholstery, a non-functional key fob, and a button that was kind of jammed in. More concerning was a noticeable thumping noise over bumps suggesting suspension problems, and the front bumper appeared misaligned or improperly attached. There was also a box of hubcaps in the trunk, which was just odd not necessarily a problem.

One thing to flag for fellow renters with sensitivities: there were scented air fresheners left in the cabin that I had to move to the trunk due to a fragrance allergy. Easy enough fix, but worth knowing. Also likely covering up other odors. I wasn’t thrilled about the “personal touches” like bumper stickers and Van Gogh themed steering wheel cover and such. Not looking to rep someone else’s personality when renting a car tbh.

My trip went fine but the whole reason I rented was for peace of mind because my personal vehicle needs similar repairs. I can’t say I wasn’t slightly concerned something more urgent would go wrong on my drive.

Also worth noting, the lock box storing the key was busted and just open. Hoping she. Doesn’t try to blame any of this on me.

Good customer service. Car is not fancy but good on gas. Front end make noise on bumps.

Good trip. Needed car for a quick overnight.

The car reeked of wet dog smell when I picked it up I had to febreze the car nonstop just to get it to smell somewhat normal. And the lock box was attached to the bottom of the car and it would drag while driving the car it was ludicrous. Honestly not my favorite rental experience.
