My trip was at 10AM. I arrived at 9:45AM, but I didn’t get to pull off until around 10:50AM because the host was unresponsive. I uploaded my license 24 hours before my trip, just as Turo suggests. The host sent me the information to access the car but he did not approve my license until AFTER my reservation. Without the host’s approval, you cannot start your trip within the app, so my profile was stuck at pending. I reached out to him a total of 3 times asking him to approve my license. I had to contact Turo customer service, was transferred to 3 different people before, and they also reached out to him. By the time he finally did it and Turo notified me, and I completed the “begin trip” process, which includes inspection/pictures, it was nearly 11am. This was unnecessarily stressful and unfair because I lost an hour that I paid for waiting for the host to click a freaking button. 🤦🏾♀️ The inside of the car was clean, but the outside was very dirty and a tire was low as soon as I got in. Avoid this place if you want your time and money valued.
