The car was great. Exactly what we needed. Only stressful part was trying to checkout with the Turo App. It decided to no longer work shortly after pulling out parking ticket which made it extremely difficult to finish the trip and get into the airport. We had to call Turo to check us out. That took an additional 30 minutes. Good thing we got back to the airport early. But thank you Justin for making your car available at PSP for us.

We chose this car because gas prices were so high. We opted to spend $120 on this rental rather than spend $60 on a gas vehicle from Enterprise. We drove from Monrovia to Pahrump, NV, which is 245 miles. Which is less than what a full charge on this car shouldve been. We shouldve been able to get there on one full charge, charge the car and get all the way back to the drop off the car with a second charge. But that's not what happened. The car battery is not good. It only gets half the miles it says it has. So we had to charge 4 times to get there and back. We ended up spending half our trip charging this car. And our whole trip was delayed because of it. We picked the car up with 76% charge (not sure why it wasn't at 100%). So we had to charge it a 5th time once we got back to Monrovia in order to have it back to where it was when we picked it up. So at very most, we shouldve had to only charge it 2.5 times. But instead, we had to charge it 5 times. I've rented newer Teslas and other EVs many times before and never had this issue. Apparently the battery life decreases as the cars get older. And this one appears to need to be replaced. Also, the driver side window doesn't seal properly. So when you're on the highway, it's really loud. The owner was on point. He was very good with communication throughout the trip. But this car is no good in my opinion. I would rent a newer Tesla or find out how old the battery is if it was replaced. At the end of the day, after the cost of charging the car 5 times plus the cost of the vehicle, we spent $191. Which is $5 more than it would've cost if we had just rented a standard gas vehicle from Enterprise.
Thanks for your feedback Patrick. Unfortunately Tesla vehicles often report more range than what drivers actually get in the real world. Many things such as speed, climate settings, weather, and other factors play into the real world range. The battery is performing normally and the report shows healthy status. I’m sorry you had a difficult experience. We’ll work to improve it for future trips.
