Jose was friendly, flexible, down to earth and very easy to communicate with, as well as very easily reached.
I left my credit cards at home and was rejected by all the rental car agencies.
I found Jose's car reasonably priced on Turo right before I was about to fly back home - no credit cards needed. I was able to book his car within 1 hr prior to pick up. I called him, as he instructed when it's under 3 hr notice and he answered immediately.
It was an 11 min Uber drive to his location from McAllen airport.
I returned the car one day early and he refunded the additional scheduled day without any questions. It was like borrowing a friend's car.
If you need an economic affordable rental without hassle, this one is it. Happy renting.

The car was infested with aunts and grimy all over, had to clean it myself just to get it to decent standards. Host has horrible communication skills and then tries to make it seem like I am the one that didn’t communicate with him.
