This car was there for us when we needed it, it did all the things to get us everywhere, and helped make a day of memories!

You get what you pay for. If you are looking for this car because of its low price, hear my word. Nothing fabricated or exaggerated, just facts.

If you are coming from the airport, you will either take Uber or use Metro to get to the pick up location which is going to take you extra money and/or time. After dropoff, think of another trip expense going back to the airport. This alone will pretty much cover the difference renting from airport if it's short term rental, on top of having to come back.

When you arrive at the pickup location, you will see an old car without any feature that you expect from modern car: yes it has Bluetooth and USB cable as said, but that's it. The buttons on the key are all washed out that I thought they were disabled when I first got it. You get the screen so dim that you can hardly see your backup camera during the day. RPM easily goes to 4-5k territory if you have to go 70mph in the highway, sounding like engine's going to die at any minute. Most importantly, THIS CAR CAN LOCK YOU OUT!

I know old cars could do that, but I wasn't expecting this 2018 model was one of them. I'm not trying to stop you from renting this car, but don't forget to take your key with you when you step outside. There is no warning from host about the car locking you out and if someone says it's obvious with non-digital key, I can say nothing but my stupidity. However, it's year 2026 and you don't get to drive a car like this often, and I wish I was warned about this. Thank me later for this!

I had my phone and wallet inside, meaning I wasn't able to contact Turo or Mattew. I had to borrow phone frome someone like weird stranger and call local technician. At the end, I spent $185 to have the technician come and open the car during the weekend, more than twice the rental itself. I also purchased full coverage from Turo, but Turo won't cover this because it's not the collision damage on the car. I just wish I could go back in time and just rented at the airport for much better car and driving experience.

Well, learned a life lesson that cheap things are cheap for a reason, and sometimes can cost you even more. Huge thanks to Mattew and Turo for the important lesson, and never coming back to Turo again.

I'm not giving 1 star because the price is low and the car still drives, but overall experience wasn't great and I wish the warning on the lock was there, and Turo handled the expense more responsibly if they are selling the coverage.
