Do not rent this car. There was a mechanical issue when I picked it up and had to end the reservation within 24 hours, when I was supposed to have it for 10 weeks. There was no oil cap, the gas cap doesn’t close, and there are scratches on the car. I highly advise you look for a different car.

Host were amazing throughout the trip very responsive- the car was is great condition too perfect for my commute. Would definitely recommend to rent through the same host. They have a lot of car options as well.

Pretty poor experience all around.
The car delivery/return was really bad and communication about it really poor. I booked the car to be picked up/dropped off at JFK as I was coming from overseas. I provided my flight number per hosts request. My flight was delayed and when I landed I found out that the person that was supposed to drop the car off has been waiting for me for a long time and now has to go back. Apparently, I was supposed to let them know that my flight was delayed while in the air with no service 🤷♂️ I ended up having to take an uber, which was supposed to be reimbursed, which didn’t happen in full. Further I was told that dropping my off at the airport is not included even though JFK is clearly stated as the pick up/drop off location. Lastly, I was reminded 5 times that I need to give this service a 5 star review, so apparently that matters more than the actual honest feedback.
The car itself was in a pretty bad shape. It was recently repossessed, which is why starting it was quite difficult and I had to lock it manually with the key. But this is only 1/10 of the issues. Suspension clearly needs a lot of work, rear tires need balancing (and probably replacement), car idles super roughly and interior looks on 3/10. I frankly didn’t feel safe driving on highway speeds and I drove a few beaters back in the day.
Why two stars and not one? I was happy with the fairly low price. And I appreciated owners flexibility on changing the return time to earlier when my travel plans changed.
