Host was responsive.. car was in good shape for its age. Only half tank of gas Rip in seat and few issues but all in all not bad.

we had a pretty disappointing experience with this rental. when we picked up the car, we were not informed that we would need to pay for parking to exit the garage. we were told to submit the receipt for reimbursement, but the host later refused to pay us back for this undisclosed fee and told us to contact turo, so just be aware of that.
the AC worked great, and the car itself operated well with no mechanical issues, which were definite positives. however, the overall condition of the car did not match expectations. the host described it as “vintage,” but it was actually heavily worn. the car had numerous dents and scratches, the seats were visibly damaged, and the back seats would not fully lock into an upright position. on top of that, the passenger side leaks when it rains, so you will get wet.
another issue was communication and transparency. the host sent multiple messages saying they were monitoring our speed. it’s completely normal to go over 55 mph on the highway, and we felt uncomfortable being tracked without that being clearly disclosed upfront. this should absolutely be stated in the listing and we should have been able to consent.
for pickup, the keys were not in a lockbox as described, which felt unsafe since anyone could have accessed the car in the garage.
we were also instructed to return the car with the same amount of fuel it was given with, which is difficult to match exactly. we received the car with about 140 miles of fuel range and returned it with around 165. the host messaged us saying they wouldn’t charge for additional fuel, but we actually returned it with more fuel than we received. it would be much more straightforward if the car simply started with a full tank and was returned full.
we specifically chose this rental because we both own the same year and model audi, but this car was in much worse condition than expected. even basic features like airplay didn’t work, and disconnected every 1 minute.
overall, due to the lack of transparency, poor vehicle condition, and unresolved extra charges, we would not rent from this host again.
For a car you maxed the mileage on and returned without correct fuel this was a lot. The car was fine upon return and customer maxed out utilization. Cars aren’t perfect and a 10 year old convertible that’s still runs and drives near perfect with a near perfect roof isn’t an easy find. But hope you guys enjoyed the trip and the Florida sun!
