here’s a firmer version that still sounds reasonable:
i had a nice trip overall and the booking process was smooth, but the condition of the car was unacceptable. it was clearly not cleaned before i received it. there was makeup left in the glove compartment, and i saw small roaches and spiders inside, which is something no renter should have to deal with. i even took the car to a car wash myself, and that’s when even more bugs started coming out, which made it even worse. cleanliness is the bare minimum for a rental, so this was very disappointing. i strongly suggest the company does a better job preparing their vehicles before handing them off to customers.
