This was the worst experience I had renting with Turo. I had the car 1 day, not even a full day. I went to pick my children up from school and I notice a sound so I get out and check what it is and the front drivers tire was out of air. So I immediately reached out to the owner and I did what he said which was contact the number to call for roadside assistance, they told me $200 to change the tire or $300 to take me to a tire shop. I reached out to the owner again at this point he’s becoming extremely unprofessional telling me I’ll come out cheaper just getting the tire fixed myself or him putting in a claim against me. So I changed the tire out because and put the spare on because I’m on the side of the highway and I’m concerned about my safety. I then returned the vehicle to the drop off and ended the trip because if he acted this way and provided no help I didn’t want to finish the trip in that car. When I reached out to him again he told me to “get the tire fixed myself and go on with life” this behavior is just not acceptable. I Now I get an invoice for a $500 payment. I’m very upset. I should have known something was up with him when he kept reiterating that if something goes wrong with the car to please reach out to him. I have pictures of the hole in the tire and you can tell that he tried to pre plugged the hole that was there already. I feel he tried to get extra money out of me, but won’t happen this is what lawyers are for 😁
