Pam and Christopher were friendly, responsive, and helpful when renting their vehicle. Thank you again for sharing and entrusting your car with us. Driving their car was a better experience than driving most gas-powered vehicles you could rent from typical car rentals. Unfortunately, we experienced some issues.
Our pickup could have been smoother. We expected to find the car at the airport, but it was dropped off 15 minutes late. The car was delivered with only 65% charge. The trunk had a box of the owner's belongings, and its mats were arranged in a way that made it difficult to fit our suitcases. As we left, we noticed some cleanliness issues. There appeared to be coffee marks on the screen and dog paw prints on the rear seats.
We had a few operational issues with the car. The wipers needed replacing, and they streaked when washing or in the rain. The battery in the key fob probably needed replacing and temporarily stopped working. It wasn't a big deal because Pam worked quickly to get us back in the car.
Overall, I enjoyed driving the car, and its hosts were helpful. It has great acceleration and decent ride comfort. But the car shows its age, creaks, and has body damage to the trunk.
