Sheel was the Sheel was an amazing host from start to finish. The Tesla Model 3 was spotless, fully charged, and even nicer than expected. Pickup and drop-off were incredibly smooth, and he was quick to communicate any time I had a question. The car drove perfectly and made the whole trip a breeze.

I’d absolutely rent from Sheel again — highly recommend him and his Tesla to anyone looking for a seamless, high-quality Turo experience!

Tesla’s don’t have ashtrays, but if you enjoy the smell of an ash tray filled to the brim with cigarettes and weed roaches, this is the car for you!

If you wonder what it would be like to ride in a car with the fictional French chain-smoking skunk, Pepé Le Pew, then you’re in luck!

If you want your clothes and hair and everything you carry with you to hold these scents and follow you every time you get out of the car; like some character from the Hangover, Half Baked, or Cheech and Chong; then rent this car!

If you think that saying nothing to your customer and throwing a handful of pine tree air fresheners, scented like some teenage boy’s Axe body spray, will make the smell go away and Not just make the whole combination more noxious; then you and the owner of this vehicle are made for each other.

On the other hand, this was Not the car for us. Before we arrived the communication with the owner was spotty. Once taking a week to hear back after several attempts to reach him. We arrived in Boston with a One and half year old to find the car in the state described above. When brought to the owners attention at pickup he said he “thinks the air filter needs to be changed”. We rode with the windows down for hours at a time hoping to clear the smell, but to no effect. My family endured this experience for a full 6 days. The stench literally took us aback every single time we started a drive.
It’s not like we have virgin noses and have not smelled cigarettes or weed before. This car smell was on a whole other level.

In addition the Frunk was also unusable as it would not fully unlatch and open. This was a tight fit for us as far as storage seeing as we were carrying both luggage and a stroller.

This was our first experience using Turo and by far the worst car rental experience we’ve ever had. This is coming from a couple who have literally traveled around the world and rented in a dozen countries. I’m guessing the condition of the car is not due to the actions of the owner, but likely a previous renter. The owner is responsible for at minimum acknowledging the car condition and giving us the option to walk away from the transaction in good faith. Instead, this outfit chose to behave ignorant to the state of the vehicle, attempt to mask it with air fresheners, and send us on our miserable way. Shame
The only reason we have one star is because the car was where we needed it on pickup and ran from point A to B reliably; in our opinion the bare minimum.
