The host was wonderful and had excellent communication; the car ran perfectly and was clean when I picked it up. I would definitely choose to rent from him again on my next visit to Los Angeles. Thanks!

My experience began with the host texting me a half an hour before my pick up time to tell me that he wanted a different picture uploaded of my license, something that could’ve been requested hours prior to pick up.. At this point I was already on my way to the car, which I needed for work, and started to get worried if there was going to be an issue. I messaged the host numerous times and received no reply, and had to contact Turo to intervene. Once I arrived at the car, I realized that there’s a giant smiley sticker on the back, which was not posted on any of the pictures of the car that you can see when booking. I opened the door to find an offensively, strong, cheap air freshener smell that had engulfed the car. I had to drive with the windows down the entire time. The car doesn’t have any features, including a remote door lock. You have to lock the doors by hand. Same with adjusting the side mirrors. As if I was driving a car made in 1983. Great if that’s what you’re into!
