Love the way the car drives

The first thing that I noticed when we got the car is that it had a lot of dents and scratches on the outside, which we notated. Also, inside there were cigarette burned in the seats, which was notated and it looks like something splattered all over the ceiling and it was not clean. We updated that as well. we noticed that we have to pay a fine to leave the airport garage because they left it overnight, so then that was an extra charge that we got charged. And the car just it was overall not good shape. It had a rear side window that was duct taped on it. So we ended up driving to to a venue and a warning for the key fob went off on the drive down there, but then it turned off so we thought it was OK. We came back to the car to get in it and nothing will work on the car batteries, completely dead nothing‘s working so we informed the host to which he accused us of waiting till the last day of our trip to have problems with the car that we did something to it. He implied that we were trying to get our money back with that statement, and that’s not even the case, we were letting him know it would not start. He also implied to us that we didn’t have common sense on how to crank a car. We were stranded an hour from where we needed be. The conversation got a little bit more rude and we had to end up leaving the car taking an Uber it cost us $80 back to where we were staying at. Then they forced us to pay for the towing which was $200 and refused to pay for it considering that we didn’t even know the car was gonna do that. It just shut off on us. When you rent a car you expect the car to be in good enough condition that you don’t have to worry about things shutting off and leaving you stranded and if you are left stranded, most places will come out. Remove that car and give you a new car not this place, they made everything a problem with the renter and not the host. The person that owns the vehicle. It almost seems like this is a personal vehicle that they’re renting out out to make money, so now we’re being accused of everything’s wrong with the cars on us and then we’re gonna pay for it and that is not going to happen.we documented everything. We just feel like if you were renting something from someone something goes wrong with it just like a house they have to come out and fix it. Why are we being held liable for something when we’re renting it and paying a fee. This put a very bad taste in our mouth and in our trip. I would make sure if you use service or even that host that you double check all of the stuff and do a background check before you even use them. Sometimes with a cheaper option is obviously not the best. The service that we use also made it very difficult for us to talk to anyone to get answers. I just hope this doesn’t happen in the future to someone else.

Coordination to claim the car was a bit confusing. Car had a damaged side mirror and lots of scratches. Also, the car smelled of smoke and quite old. However, it was reasonably priced and brought me to places i needed to be.
