I want to leave an honest review because I think it’s important for future renters to know what kind of car they are actually getting. I do Yelp Elite food reviews, so I understand how ratings work. You don’t get penalized for not leaving a 5-star review if that wasn’t your honest experience.
With that being said, the facts are this car is 14 years old. Toyotas are good on gas, even when they’re older. If you’re simply looking for something affordable to get you from A to B, then this could work.
Things to be aware of: the brakes are squeaky, the car looks older than the photos, there are minor exterior scratches from age and wear, and the driver window control panel comes out. I did read a few other reviews where the car broke down on them, so take that into consideration. Overall, the condition did not fully match expectations based on the listing.
Communication and friendliness of the host were great. The condition of the car was not 5-star, but also not 1-star. My honest opinion, taking everything into consideration, is a 3.
