The car was good overall, drove smoothly, and was easy to find. My only complaint is the film on the rear window was applied poorly and made it especially difficult to see through in the rear view.

Unfortunately, this vehicle did not meet our expectations. The car had a strong smoke odor upon pickup, despite being represented as smoke-free. The rear seat headrests were missing which I found out is a major safety issue as head rests are required by federal law in rental vehicles, the exterior trunk release was damaged and required pressing exposed switch components to open the trunk, and the rear window tint was peeling so badly that visibility while driving through the rear window was significantly impaired.

I contacted the host immediately and requested assistance or a replacement vehicle, but my concerns were dismissed and no solution was offered. The host even responded to my concerns that even if previous renters had smoked, we were not permitted to, completely disregarding the intent of my communication. We were traveling with family and had no practical alternative transportation, so we were forced to continue using the vehicle. The car idled down at lights and felt like it might stop.

I encourage future guests to carefully inspect the vehicle at pickup and document any concerns right away, however, it appears that some of these concerns were raised months ago by other guests.
