My girlfriend and I booked this Supra a month in advance because it is a car we are thinking about purchasing ourselves. When getting the car it was fine, just had some wear and tear, no biggie. We got it on the highway headed from the Vegas strip to Red Rock and I could tell something wasn’t right. I used to be a Lexus technician and something was telling me to pull over and do some checking around. Lots of road noise, pulling pretty hard to the left. I stopped at a gas station and went to feel the inner edge of the tires and cut my hand on the cords hanging out. 20 years in the auto industry and this was the worst tire I have ever seen being driven on. It was less than a mile from coming apart; you could lift the outer layer of the tires away from the inner layer.
I contacted Daniel and he was super apologetic and offered to swap us out to a C8. We took him up on the swap only because we still wanted to go hiking, but it’s not a car we would have chosen to rent and we lost 1.5 - 2 hours of our day waiting to get this done. I was hesitant to leave a bad review, but after our trip is done I’m seeing some similar reviews other people have left. There is no cell service at Red Rock and it was 105°F that day. This could have been a massive problem when, not if, that tire came apart. The Corvette he swapped us to was also a bit beat up and something in the rear end was causing the car to sway under acceleration. We returned the car early and moved on with our day. I appreciate that he swapped us to a “nicer” vehicle, but I have to feel like he should have noticed the car wasn’t driving right on his way to bring it to us.

First time using Turo. Host made it easy would use again. 10/10 recommend.
