I really enjoyed the vehicle. Was my plan to ride in style and this was possible. The host was easy to reach. Pickup and drop off was very smooth. I would definitely use again.

The host was extremely communicative and prompt, it was a very easy pickup and drop off and I wanted to give this the full 5 stars but I just can’t, because this now an issue I’ve encountered in my past several rentals with TURO over the past year; I get to the car and open the door and immediately am hit right in the face with terrible smoking odor. I get in, and it’s dirty in the cupholders and areas around, small stains on the back seat, and again - just really reeks bad, not like it was just one person before me. I message the host and they quickly get back saying “oh yeah, someone smoked in it before you”. The past 3 cars I’ve rented have had this issue, to the point of borderline not being able to use the car as much as needed because people get headaches and kids cants be in the car for any extended period. I really would have appreciated a message before coming to get the car just saying “hey, really sorry but just want to disclose this, but someone must have smoked a lot (or the owner is a smoker) and there is an odor”. But this owner admitted it. The last rental before denied and essentially gaslit me into thinking it didn’t smell and I didn’t know what I was talking about. Ironically enough, TURO has the gall to keep sending/reminding me of the fine and penalty I get if there’s any smoking in the car. Look, I also understand that, I often rent with 24hrs notice or slightly under, but that’s never an excuse for it to be a mess and smell - don’t put it to be available on the app if it’s unable to be cleaned on time. It makes me/guests feel like their money and time isn’t respected or valued.
